Privacy & Cookies Policy
Who is responsible for your data
GOODGAMES, operating VIRAGE, is responsible for the processing described in this policy. Registered office: 220 Allée des Figons, 13510 Éguilles, France. SIREN: 882 561 194. For data protection questions or requests, email contact@virage.gg or write to that address.
This policy concerns visitors, customers and people who contact VIRAGE or subscribe to its communications. It is separate from the Terms and Conditions of Sale: accepting the sales terms is not consent to advertising or optional cookies.
Data used and purposes
Orders and delivery: we use identity and contact details, delivery and billing addresses, ordered items, transaction references and order history to take payment, fulfil the sale, organise shipment, handle returns and provide after-sales service. The legal basis is performance of the contract or steps you request before purchase. Accounting and tax records are processed to meet legal obligations.
Customer accounts: when you create an account, account identification and order-related information are used to provide and manage the service you request, on a contractual basis. Please keep your credentials confidential.
Contact requests: we use the contact details and information you provide to answer enquiries. The basis is precontractual steps where the enquiry concerns a purchase, performance of the contract for customer service, or our legitimate interest in answering other messages.
Newsletters and product alerts: when you subscribe, we use your name, email address and subscription preferences to send the requested VIRAGE news, promotions or product availability alerts, on the basis of consent. You may unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by writing to contact@virage.gg. Service emails necessary for an existing order are separate from marketing.
Website operation and security: technical information such as IP addresses, device/browser information and connection events is used where necessary for operation, security and investigation of incidents. The basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the website and transactions. Rules on terminal access and cookies also apply.
Only information necessary for the relevant purpose is requested. Required fields are identified when collecting information; without the data needed for an order or delivery, we cannot provide that service. Optional fields can be left blank. Please do not include sensitive information in a message unless necessary to handle your request.
Who receives the data
Data are accessible to authorised GOODGAMES personnel and to providers to the extent needed for their services: Wix for the website and associated business tools, the payment provider you use, shipping management providers such as Sendcloud and the selected carrier, and accounting or professional advisers where required.
Data may also be disclosed to competent authorities where legally required, or to CM2C and advisers when needed to handle a complaint or legal claim. Each recipient receives only the information necessary for the purpose concerned. Payment providers process payment information under their own obligations and privacy notices.
International processing
The use of international providers, including Wix, can involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers must be supported by an applicable adequacy decision or other safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where necessary, supplementary measures.
For information on the safeguards applying to a particular transfer and how to obtain a copy, contact contact@virage.gg. Wix publishes information about its processing and safeguards in its privacy documentation: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy
Retention
We retain information for the period required for the purpose for which it was collected, then delete or anonymise it unless lawful restricted archiving is necessary.
Order and customer service data are kept while needed to fulfil the order, manage returns and guarantees and resolve the request. Records needed to establish or defend contractual rights are archived for the applicable limitation period, generally five years, extended where proceedings or another legal requirement justify it.
Accounting records and invoices are retained for ten years from the end of the relevant accounting year, in accordance with applicable obligations.
Marketing contact details are used until withdrawal of consent or, in the absence of renewed interaction, for up to three years after collection or the last active contact from a prospect, or the end of the commercial relationship for a customer. An unsubscribe request ends marketing use without waiting for that period. Minimal information may be retained in a suppression list to respect the request.
Account information is retained for the duration of the account service; closing an account does not remove records that must be retained for accounting, guarantees or legal claims. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for operation and investigation of incidents. Cookie retention depends on each cookie's purpose and expiry; deleting a cookie does not necessarily delete data previously processed from it.
Your rights
Under the applicable conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, subject to the statutory conditions, and object at any time to direct marketing. Where consent is used, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Under French law, you may also give instructions concerning your data after your death.
Send requests to contact@virage.gg, identifying the data or service concerned. An identity document is not required automatically: proportionate additional information may be requested only where reasonably needed to verify your identity.
We respond within one month of receipt, subject to the extensions permitted by the GDPR for complex or numerous requests. Where an extension applies, we inform you within the initial month. You may complain to the CNIL at https://www.cnil.fr or to the competent supervisory authority in your country.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies can also access or store information on it. Some are necessary to provide a service you request, such as maintaining a session, supporting a shopping basket, security or remembering privacy choices. These necessary operations do not require prior consent where the statutory exemption applies.
Audience measurement, advertising or other optional tracking requires prior consent unless a specific legal exemption applies. Continued browsing alone does not constitute consent. Refusing optional tracking must not prevent an ordinary purchase.
You may accept or refuse optional categories and change your choice through the site's cookie preferences mechanism where optional trackers are offered. You may also configure your browser to delete or block cookies; blocking essential cookies can interfere with account, basket or checkout functions.
The information presented when optional tracking is offered must identify its purposes, providers and retention periods. For details concerning cookies on virage.gg or help with your choices, contact contact@virage.gg.
Security and updates
We use organisational and technical measures appropriate to the risks to protect personal information. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed absolutely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we assess it and make the notifications required by law.
This policy may be updated as our services or legal obligations change. The version date appears at the top. Any new use requiring consent will be subject to a separate consent request.
